Zilla is a name of Hebrew origin, directly derived from the Hebrew word 'tzillah' (צִלָּה), meaning 'shadow' or 'shade'. Its most notable appearance is in the Old Testament of the Bible, specifically in the Book of Genesis. Zillah is mentioned as one of Lamech's wives and the mother of Tubal-Cain and Naamah.
