Zhēnyú

Zhēnyú is a modern Chinese name, often created by combining two characters. 'Zhēn' (真) means 'true, real, genuine,' and 'Yú' (鱼) means 'fish.' The combination can evoke images of a 'true fish' or, more poetically, a 'pearl' (as pearls are found in oysters, which are aquatic creatures, and 'zhen' can also be associated with preciousness).
