Zhongshan

Zhongshan (中山) is a Chinese place name and surname. As a place name, it refers to a historical state during the Warring States period and is also the name of a modern city in Guangdong province. The name gained significant historical prominence through Sun Yat-sen, the founding father of the Republic of China, who adopted 'Zhongshan' as his courtesy name (Sun Zhongshan).
