Vilhelmo

Vilhelmo is the Esperanto equivalent of the name William. The name William itself has a long and rich history, originating from the Old Germanic elements 'wil' meaning 'will, desire' and 'helm' meaning 'helmet, protection'. It was introduced to England by William the Conqueror during the Norman Conquest of 1066 and quickly became one of the most popular names in the English-speaking world.
