Vasthie

The name Vasthie is a variant of Vashti, a name of ancient Persian origin. Vashti appears in the biblical Book of Esther as the first wife of King Ahasuerus (often identified with Xerxes I). Her story is one of defiance, as she refused the king's command to appear before him and his guests, leading to her dethronement and replacement by Esther.
