Unierad is an extremely rare Old English name, composed of the elements 'un-' (meaning 'not' or 'un-') and 'ræd' (meaning 'counsel' or 'advice'). The name would have been given with the intention that the bearer would possess clear, un-troubled judgment or counsel. Its rarity suggests it was not widely adopted even in its era of origin, possibly due to its somewhat abstract meaning or the preference for more common Old English name elements.
