Tunji is a shortened form of longer Yoruba names, most commonly Olatunji or Babatunji. When combined with 'Ola' (wealth/honor) it becomes Olatunji, meaning 'wealth/honor returns again' or 'honor has reawakened'. With 'Baba' (father), Babatunji means 'father returns again', often given to a child born after the death of a grandfather or father, signifying reincarnation or remembrance.
