Separately, in Ireland, Tara is a place name, most famously the Hill of Tara, an ancient ceremonial and burial site and the traditional inauguration place of the High Kings of Ireland. The Irish word 'Teamhair' (pronounced 'Tarah') means 'elevated place' or 'hill'.
