Susano

Susanoo-no-Mikoto (often shortened to Susanoo or Susano) is a prominent deity in Japanese mythology, particularly in the Shinto religion. He is the brother of Amaterasu, the sun goddess, and Tsukuyomi, the moon god. Susanoo is known for his tempestuous and sometimes destructive nature, but also for his heroic deeds, such as slaying the eight-headed serpent Yamata no Orochi. While primarily a male deity, the name 'Susano' has seen some modern usage as a female given name, often inspired by the mythological figure's strong and dynamic character, or simply for its appealing sound.
