Saroo / Sheru

The name Saroo is derived from the Hindi word 'Sheru' (शेरू), which means 'lion'. It gained international recognition through the true story of Saroo Brierley, an Indian-Australian businessman who was separated from his family in India at a young age and later reunited with them. His story was documented in his book 'A Long Way Home' and adapted into the critically acclaimed film 'Lion' (2016).
