The name Sanaë has a dual origin. In Japanese, it is often written with kanji that can mean 'mountain peak' (早苗) or 'early rice seedling,' symbolizing growth and new beginnings. It is a traditional and poetic name. In Arabic, Sana (سنا) means 'brilliance, splendor, radiance,' and Sana'a (صنعاء) is also the capital of Yemen, though the name Sanaë itself is a variant of Sana. The 'ë' at the end is not typical of standard Japanese or Arabic transliteration but can be a stylistic addition or a way to indicate pronunciation in some European contexts, particularly French, to ensure the final 'e' is pronounced.
