Poubelle

The word 'poubelle' in French refers to a trash can or dustbin. It was coined in the late 19th century after Eugène Poubelle, the Prefect of the Seine, who issued an arrêté (prefectural order) in 1884 requiring Parisian landlords to provide their tenants with three lidded containers for household waste, for the separation of compostable materials, paper and cloth, and crockery and shells. These containers quickly became known as 'poubellles' in his honor.

While 'Poubelle' is a surname, its direct association with waste disposal has made it entirely unsuitable and virtually unheard of as a given name for a human. It carries strong negative connotations in French-speaking cultures, making its use as a personal name highly improbable and likely to cause ridicule.
