Phebe is an older spelling variant of Phoebe, a name with deep roots in Greek mythology. Phoebe was a Titan goddess associated with the moon, prophecy, and intellect. The name was later adopted by early Christians, notably appearing in the New Testament as a deaconess of the church in Cenchreae, mentioned by Paul in his Epistle to the Romans.
