Panha

The name Panha originates from the Sanskrit word 'prajñā' (प्रज्ञा), which means 'wisdom,' 'intelligence,' or 'understanding.' This term is fundamental in various Indian philosophical and religious traditions, particularly Buddhism, where Prajñā is considered a crucial virtue and a form of insight into the true nature of reality.

When Buddhism spread from India to Southeast Asia, including the Khmer Empire (modern-day Cambodia), many Sanskrit and Pali terms were adopted into the local languages.
