Nut

Nut is a prominent goddess in Ancient Egyptian mythology, often depicted as a naked woman arched over the Earth, representing the sky. She is the daughter of Shu (air) and Tefnut (moisture), and the sister and wife of Geb (earth). Nut is a central figure in the Heliopolitan Ennead, one of the most important groups of deities in ancient Egypt.

Her role was crucial in the Egyptian understanding of creation and the afterlife. She was believed to swallow the setting sun each evening and give birth to it each morning, symbolizing the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. Nut was also associated with the deceased, offering protection and rebirth in the afterlife, often appearing on the lids of sarcophagi.
