Nemezja / Nemesis

Nemezja is the Polish form of the Greek name Nemesis. In Greek mythology, Nemesis was the goddess of divine retribution against those who succumb to hubris (arrogance before the gods). Her name is derived from the Greek word 'nemesis' (νέμεσις), meaning 'to give what is due' or 'righteous indignation'.

The name Nemesis itself was rarely used as a personal name in ancient times due to its strong association with the abstract concept of vengeance and retribution.
