Naramsin

Naram-Sin was a powerful king of the Akkadian Empire, ruling from approximately 2254–2218 BC. He was the grandson of Sargon of Akkad, the founder of the empire. Naram-Sin's reign marked the apex of the Akkadian Empire's power and influence, extending its control over a vast territory from Mesopotamia to parts of Anatolia and the Levant. He was the first Mesopotamian ruler to claim divinity for himself, adopting the title "King of the Four Quarters" and having his name written with the divine determinative, signifying his status as a god-king.

His name, Naram-Sin, translates to "Beloved of Sin," with Sin being the Mesopotamian moon god.
