Lulian

Lulian is a less common variant of Julian, which itself derives from the Roman family name Julianus. The name Julianus is an adjectival form of Julius, a prominent Roman gens (clan) name. The etymology of Julius is debated, but it is often associated with the Greek 'ioulos' meaning 'downy-bearded' or 'youthful', or with 'Iovis' (Jupiter), implying 'descended from Jupiter'.

The name Julian, and by extension Lulian, has been used since Roman times, gaining popularity through figures like Julian the Apostate, a Roman Emperor. Over centuries, various forms and spellings emerged across different European languages. Lulian specifically appears to be a less common, perhaps regional or phonetic, adaptation.
