Kiyomori (清盛) is a traditional Japanese name, most famously associated with Taira no Kiyomori, a military leader of the late Heian period. The name is formed from two kanji characters: 清 (kiyo), meaning 'pure,' 'clear,' or 'clean,' and 盛 (mori), meaning 'flourish,' 'prosper,' 'excellent,' or 'outstanding.'
