Ketsia / Keziah

The name Ketsia is a variant of Keziah, which comes from the Hebrew word 'qetzi'ah' meaning 'cassia tree' or 'cinnamon'. In the Old Testament, Keziah was the second daughter of Job, born after he had lost his first children and possessions, and was later blessed with new children. Her sisters were Jemimah and Keren-Happuch. The cassia tree is known for its fragrant bark, which was used to produce a valuable spice and perfume in ancient times. The name therefore carries connotations of beauty, fragrance, and preciousness.

While Keziah has biblical roots, Ketsia is a more modern spelling variant, likely influenced by phonetic interpretations or a desire for a unique presentation of the classic name.
