Geromine

The name Geromine is a rare feminine form derived from the masculine name Jerome. Jerome itself comes from the Greek name Hieronymos (Ἱερώνυμος), meaning 'sacred name' or 'holy name,' from 'hieros' (sacred) and 'onyma' (name). While Jerome has a long and prominent history, largely due to Saint Jerome, the translator of the Vulgate Bible, the feminine form Geromine is much less common and appears to be a later, perhaps localized or familial, creation.

Its usage is not widespread and it doesn't have a significant historical presence as a standalone name. It likely emerged as a way to feminize the well-known male name, possibly in regions where French or other Romance languages were spoken, given the '-ine' suffix often used for feminization.
