Evadne

Evadne is a name rooted deeply in Greek mythology. It derives from the Greek elements 'eu' (εὖ) meaning 'good, well' and 'hadanein' (ἁδάνειν) meaning 'to please'. In mythology, Evadne was the daughter of Poseidon and Pitane, and the wife of Capaneus, one of the Seven Against Thebes. When her husband was struck down by Zeus's thunderbolt for defying the gods, Evadne famously threw herself onto his funeral pyre, demonstrating immense loyalty and love.
