Emerendiana

Emerendiana is a name of Latin origin, derived from the word 'emerens', meaning 'to merit' or 'to earn'. It is primarily known through Saint Emerentiana, a virgin martyr of the early Christian church. Her story, though not extensively detailed, places her in Rome during the Diocletianic Persecution in the 4th century. She was said to be a foster-sister of Saint Agnes and was martyred while praying at Agnes's tomb.
