Ciecierad

Ciecierad is a rare and ancient Slavic name. It is a compound name, typical of Old Slavic naming conventions, where two elements are joined to form a new meaning. The first element, 'ciecie-' (or 'cieszy-'), is derived from the Old Slavic word 'těšiti' meaning 'to gladden, to comfort, to rejoice'.
