Celzjusz / Celsus

Celzjusz is the Polish form of the Roman family name Celsus, which means 'tall' or 'lofty' in Latin. However, its modern association is almost exclusively with Anders Celsius, the Swedish astronomer who invented the Celsius temperature scale.
