Astraea

Astraea is a name with deep roots in Greek mythology. She was the virgin goddess of justice, innocence, purity, and precision. According to Hesiod's 'Theogony,' she was the daughter of Zeus and Themis (or sometimes Astraeus and Eos). During the Golden Age, Astraea lived among humans, but as humanity grew increasingly wicked during the subsequent Bronze and Iron Ages, she became disgusted and ascended to the heavens, becoming the constellation Virgo.

The name has seen occasional use throughout history, often associated with themes of justice, purity, and a return to a golden age. It gained some literary prominence during the Renaissance, particularly in England, where Queen Elizabeth I was sometimes referred to as 'Astraea' by poets and writers, symbolizing a period of peace and justice under her rule.
